Yash Raj Films released the first song from Rani Mukerji‘s Hichki on Tuesday. Rani at the song launch which took place at her childhood school said, she believes that all girls should learn martial arts, self-defense, dance and so will Adira.
While talking about Rani’s ambition for her daughter Adira Chopra who hasn’t begun school yet and what she is eager for Adira to learn, Rani said, Dancing and Boxing. ” I can’t wait to teach her Dancing and Boxing. Today I believe that all girls should learn martial arts and self-defense and learn dance after that. So I would like to teach her both.”
She added, ” as far as her studying and learning is concerned, she is right now in a very cute stage where she gets upset every time we try to teach her something. So I don’t know whats going to happen when she goes to school.”
Rani who gave birth to Adira in 2015, was asked how she managed to spend time with her in spite of the busy schedule for the film Hichki, she said, ” I didn’t want to waste time on set, I wanted to just shoot on set. I completed his film in flat 38 days which is quite fast and my team was completely prepared for everything. I gave only a good 5 to 6 hours of concentrated work every day from 6 in the morning because I wanted to come home to my baby. But since it was concentrated we shot a lot in these hours.”
‘Oye Hichki’ featuring Rani is composed and penned by Jaideep Sahni and sung by Jasleen Royal.
The film depicts the life of a teacher played by the ‘Mardani’ star Rani, who has a nervous system disorder called, Tourette Syndrome that forces people who are suffering from it to make repetitive movements or sounds, involuntarily.
The film directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, it is scheduled to release on 23 March 2018.
