Sudhir Mishra along with actor Rahul Bhat and Richa Chadha were present at the music launch of their upcoming film Daas Dev on Sunday. During interaction lead actor Richa said, she is done talking about Padmaavat and country has bigger things to worry about than a film.

After Swara Bhaskar called out filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali out for the glorification of Sati and Jauhar in his film Padmaavat through an open letter on online portal ‘The Wire’, the then settled controversy rose discussion within the fraternity.

When asked Richa to comment on the same she said, “I feel sir had a right to make a film and we defended that right irrespective of who was opposing it and what the content was. Similarly, she as an actor and as a colleague and a member of the fraternity has the right to express her opinion. And that’s her opinion, she shouldn’t be trolled for it.

I think we really need to move on from this film. The budget came two days ago and we have bigger things to worry about as a country than a film. I am done talking about the film.”

Richa from Fukrey Returns while talking about her upcoming film ‘Daas Dev’ fresh take on the Devdas has brought them to an advantage. “We are in a position of advantage because people in the entire country are aware of the classic Devdas story. The will not have to take extra efforts to establish the characters which is why he has flipped that their personalities and brought them into today’s time.”
