Anurag Kashyap who is busy gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Mukkabaaz‘ was present at a promotional Press conference on Friday. During Media interaction the director said, because of cricket other sports have been neglected.
Talking about the film’s sports backdrop, the director also said, he believes, “because of cricket other sports have been neglected. Because of Saina Nehwal now people are paying attention to badminton. Others sports are only looked at when someone achieves a medal. But their journey until then is only based on their passion.”
When asked if it will reflect the actual scenario, he said, “The film comments on how we need to take sports seriously. We have a support system for sportsmen with jobs and stadiums but there is no encouragement system to create more sportsmen. Once someone comes forth to become a player there is no one to guide them through. ‘Mukkabaaz’ talks about that too.”
Film’s title song ‘Paintra’ has been well received by audieneces when asked about the song’s making, Anurag said, “It is a mix of everything that is in the movie. It even has a voiceover by Ravi (Kishan). It is sung by Divine, and Nucleya composed it. we took a lot of time approximately 5 months to create it. Most was to figure out what we are trying to say with the song.”
“The song is written by written by Vineet Kumar Singh but Divine rewrote it since a rapper always rewrites the song in his own tone. After all of that Paintra was ready.”, he added.
‘Mukkabaaz’ presented by Phantom Films and Colour Yellow Films stars, Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Ravi Kishan, and Jimmy Shergill.
The film is scheduled to commercially release on 12th Jan
