After the controversy over her music video Baby Doll, Deepal decided to drop the image she had created with this album. When asked she replied that media ruined everything by writing, that she was taking a stance for everyone in the music team. It was too much for a 18 year old to take and she decided to stay away until she recent appearance in A Wednesday.
She took the much needed break which she says helped her to overcome the insecurities of an actor, to override desperation of moving away from ambition. The last she was seen was in Kalyug and returning now to the silver screen after an hiatus of 2 and half years does induce a gossipy talk!
Over her role in A Wednesday. She said she never gave an audition and got selected straight-a-away. The character she played needed to have a good command of hindi and the flair to speak fluently like a journalist would. She is more than glad and says the deserving credit should actually should go to Neeraj Pandey, who took the decision of selecting her.
Did she give her best for the role of Naina Roy? Well she says she did her best and wouldn’t like to take someone else’s credit. Though some of the reviews have missed out on her but she is happy that it was best that way. She is looking forward for a bigger role. She is scheduled to be cast in Neeraj Pathak’s Right Ya Wong, and two more Runway and Dhoondtey Reh Jaaoge! (Hope that is not some soap commercial!)
