Actor Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on October 11th, 2017. The most beloved couple of Bollywood were a delight to watch at the function they hosted for their friends and family at their new Pali Hill residence.
Saira Banu shared the candid pictures from the 51st Wedding Anniversary celebration on the official Twitter handle of Dilip Kumar.
She wrote, “Message from Saira Banu; On our 51st Anniversary, we want to thank our friends n families n millions of fans for their prayers & love…Saab enjoyed at his 48 Pali Hill residence. In this pic Raihan (our nephew) Kishore Bajaj n Ajay Ashar of Black Rock Developers”
She also added a super special picture with Dilip Kumar from their home. She wrote, “Thank you Almighty God for making our journey beautiful with joy & peace.”
Dilip Kumar got married to actress Saira Banu, who was 22 years younger than him when they married in 1966. The couple doesn’t have any children.
Actor Dilip Kumar revealed in his 2014 memoir “Dilip Kumar: The Substance and the Shadow” that she became pregnant in 1972 with their son, but Saira developed high blood pressure in her eighth month of pregnancy and the doctors couldn’t save the baby, which has been strangulated by the umbilical cord. After that, they never had children, believing that it was God’s will.
