November 24, 2010 : They may be at loggerheads off screen, but on it they are pure professionals. How else can you describe the fact that rivals Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif have accepted to work on the same project together. Yes, the actresses are a part of the sequel to Sajid Khan’s Housefull. While the original version featured Lara Dutta along with Deepika Padukone as lead actresses, Housefull 2 will feature Katrina Kaif, who will reportedly have a very important role to play in the comedy’s sequel.
The bitterness between Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif began after Deepika’s ex-boyfriend reportedly dumped her for Katrina. Dips very playfully lashed out at Kat while she was on Karan Johar’s couch on television chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. And if reports are to be believed, Katrina too, did not take those comments lightly, even though Deepika confirmed that all her words are in good humor. The crew of Housefull 2 is reportedly curious to see how the warring ladies fare once they are on the film’s sets together.
Also joining the star cast of the Housefull sequel are actors John Abraham, Paresh Rawal and Nana Patekar. The original cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal is to be retained.The Housefull sequel will go on floors next year.
