After a successful acting debut with ‘Rock On’, director-actor Farhan Akhtar is acting again in sister Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut ‘Luck By Chance’. His new found fans won’t have to wait for long as the movie will be hitting the theatres soon too -by January 23. Good for Zoya! The lady has been trying to turn director for long, but with no luck.
But now with brother dearest turning into hot property, it seems lady luck is finally smiling on her.
And it’s not just Farhan, her other family members are naturally supporting her too!
Daddy Javed Akhtar and step mom Shabana Azmi will contribute in the project. Only mum Honey Irani is missing from the picture this time around!
The movie also has big names like Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh, Juhi Chawla and Rishi Kapoor making important appearances.
Unlike the ‘all hype- no show’ Prachi Desai (a non actress destined to be a wannabe forever) in ‘Rock On’, Farhan will have a very strong and efficient leading lady opposite him this time- Konkana Sen Sharma. This pairing will surely be fun to watch!
‘Luck By Chance’ apparently is all about Bollywood. Farhan is a struggling actor in the film, while Konkana plays an upcoming starlet. Rishi Kapoor will be seen playing a stingy Punjabi producer with Juhi Chawla as his wife.
Hrithik who kept Zoya hanging for long (she wanted him as her hero first) is doing a meaty special appearance.
Sanjay Kapoor too is making yet another comeback and will be seen as an aspiring actor and Rishi Kapoor’s younger brother!
Considering Zoya’s long wait, luck’s role sure seems all important. No wonder Zoya decided to name the film so! -(SAMPURN)
