Priyanka’s Purple Pebble Picture’s ‘Firebrand‘ went on the floor on Tuesday. During media interaction on Muhurat, producer Madhu Chopra said, Firebrand will give a tough competition to their previous Marathi releases.
After ‘Ventilator’ and ‘Kay Re Rascalaa’, Firebrand is the production house’s third Marathi film. Madhu while talking about ‘Firebrand’ said, “I am very happy and proud. I feel very strong about this project. I think the film will turn out great. Firebrand will give a tough competition to Ventilator’ success.”
‘Ventilator’ directed by Rajesh Mapuskar was released in 2016. It received National Film Award for Best Director, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
‘Firebrand’, director Aruna Raje, when asked for the story snippets said, “I cant talk about the script or the story but one thing I can assure you that, there is something very special for the audience in the movie. The film is an emotional drama that talks about a journey. The audience will definitely take something with them when they walk out.”
Ashutosh Gowariker who was also present at the film’s muhurat said he is a big fan of Aruna and is excited for the film, “I am very excited since Aruna Raje-ji is part of this film. I have been a big fan of her films like (1988) Rihaee, (1982) Sitam, (1980)Gehrayee. And today she is doing this film with our favorite producer Purple Pebble Pictures, speaking as an actor (laughs).”
Talking about the film’s title he said, “I thought the title of the film is very apt. and the title applies to all the people working on the film, Madhuji, Arunaji, Sandeep Bhargava. I want to wish them a heartiest congratulation for the new adventure and wish them all the best.”
Purple Pebble Pictures, produced ‘Sarvann’ (Punjabi), ‘Kay Re Rascalaa’ (Marathi), ‘Kaashi Amarnath’ (Bhojpuri) and ‘Pahuna – The Little Visitors’ (Sikkimese) in 2017.
