If you thought of entering into the world of Fool N Final with an air of seriousness, you will be back home, totally lost. Don’t be a fool to judge this movie as an affair of philosophers or historians. This movie is made only to entertain people. It does not have any intention to educate people with a life-guiding principle, nor does it promote any kind of ‘ism’. It has got a plain motive – a complete entertainment for the audience for about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The entire drama of the movie is spinning around a diamond that was smuggled from Mumbai to Dubai by Chunkey Pandey. As the movie advances, the diamond changes hands; and towards the climax you will watch a row of underworld dons, smugglers, heroes, villains, and heroines connected to it. Finally who grabs it? Watch and find.
The star cast offers no dearth of the appropriate characters suitable for the theme. Chunkey Pandey, Gulshan Grover, Arbaaz Khan, Sunny Deol, Johny Lever- all have their own share to give life to the characters of the movie. Johny Lever and Paresh get the credit being the most hilarious couple shown in the movie, as every word conversed each other gives a tickle on your ribs.
To add to the entertainment lot are the music, dance and the stunt scenes added appropriately by the director. Himesh Reshammiya contributed greatly towards this movie through his music. ‘Yeh Dooriyaan‘ and ‘Tere Layee‘ create a real sense of the atmosphere that is pervading in the movie. The choreography is wonderful; Ahmed Khan alone gets the complete credit for it. Shaheed Kapoor and Ayesha Takia proved to be one of the most-suited couples through the movie Fool N Final.
The Sunny Deol effect is shown by his fists. The credit goes to Allan Amin. The magical power-blows had a real impact on the villain. In all aspects, Fool N Final promises to be a holiday bonanza, especially for the youngsters.
There are certain negative aspects too. What did Ahmed Khan do with such a huge number of stars? Was he able to utilize their potential in the way he expected? What was the significance of the petty roles handled by certain talented artists such as Om Puri, Sharmila Tagore, Sameera Reddy, etc.? One would even feel for Sunny Deol that he has been pushed back in the movie.
It is the entangled story that takes the next toll on the success of the movie. Those who wish to grasp the entire episode of the drama in an orderly manner are likely to get lost in between with a lot many characters entering in every plot of the drama and making the whole episode confusing.
A few questions may arise about the ability of Ahmed Khan in directing a movie like this.
