Actor Govinda is teaming up with ex-censor board chief and filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani for a comedy drama titled Rangeela Raja. The makers of the film are out with first look poster and other details.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media. He tweeted, “Pahlaj, who launched Govinda in #Ilzaam, is now committed to re-launch him with #RangeelaRaja… Costars Mishika Chourasia, Anupama Agnihotri and Digangana Suryavanshi… Set in Rajasthan… 2018 release”
“After over 25 years, the Hit team of #Ilzaam, #SholaAurShabnam and #Aankhen – producer Pahlaj Nihalani and Govinda – team up yet again… Here’s the first look poster of #RangeelaRaja… Govinda will be seen in a double role… Portrays four distinct characters in the film…”
In the Rangeela Raja poster, a moustached Govinda, dressed in a colourful shirt and sporting a pair of black glares and a neck chain, looks like a typical Bollywood masala hero.
The film will co-star Mishika Chourasia, Anupama Agnihotri and Digangana Suryavanshi and will be set in Rajasthan. The film is currently slated for 2018 release.
Govinda is currently promoting his first outing with comedian Varun Shama, titled Fryday, which is an upcoming Indian comedy film directed by Abhishek Dogra. It is produced by Sajid Qureshi and PVR Pictures and stars Govinda, Varun Sharma and Digangana Suryavanshi in lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on 12 October 2018.
