Harshvardhan Kapoor Confirms Biopic Based on Abhinav Bindra

The prodigal son of Anil Kapoor, the newbie actor Harshvardhan Kapoor signs his next movie, which is a biopic based on Olympic medallist Abhinav Bindra.

Harshvardhan Kapoor, who made his debuted in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, post that he signed on Bhavesh Joshi, which is superhero-vigilante genre movie, the actor has signed his third film.

Harshvardhan will be essaying the role of Olympic medallist Abhinav Bindra. The junior Kapoor confirmed the news on social media; he shared a picture with the Olympian.

He captioned the picture, “Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play #AbhinavBindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend! Like the man himself said “Hard Work is a talent.” #LetsDoThis”

Abhinav Bindra, is a World and Olympic champion in the 10 m Air Rifle event. By winning the gold in the 10 m Air Rifle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, he became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games.

The movie will be directed by Kannan Iyer, the film is reportedly being adapted from Bindra’s autobiography, ‘A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold’. The movie will chronicle the Olympians internal conflicts and his journey.

Harshavardhan is currently working on Vikramditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi. The shooting is complete and movie is in post production.
It is also reported that Harshavardhan was all set to sign another movie with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, titled Farzi, as the actor Arjun Kapoor had walked out of the film and recommended Harsh for the role.
