Sarjan Group is a social non-profit organization that established in Hong Kong in 2005. Sarjan held its 12th Sarjan Annual Award Function on Saturday.
It is one of the largest award event among the diamantaires in Hong Kong and will have the presence of many bureaucrats and celebrities from Hong Kong and India respectively attending the event.
Malaika Arora who was honored at the event said “I am really happy to be here in Hong Kong and feel honored to be facilitated by the Hong Kong government dignitaries. Everyone feels great when awarded it is a way of appreciating someone’s talent and presence. So thank you so much and I wish them all the very best for FUTURE endeavors.”
Anil Kapoor‘s son Harshvardhan Kapoor was also present at the event said, “I haven’t spend time much in Hong Kong before, so I am really excited to meet everyone and happy to be here.” The actor recently released his superhero film Bhavesh Joshi which is being appreciated by fans and critics alike.
Awards were distributed for different kinds of activities ranging from humanitarian works to sports. Every year, this celebration marks presence of many socialites & celebrities, politicians from India and Hong Kong, sports icons, diamond & jewelry businessmen. This year, Ex Co Member-Hon Mrs. Regina Ip, Director of Immigration Mr. Erick Tsang, Commissioner of Police Mr. Stephen Lo and Secretary of Education Mr. Kevin Yueng attended the event. Top sportsman, The Turbanator Harbhajan Singh and Legendary Cricketer Farooq Engineering were also present at the occasion.
“I remember Sarjan Group started with only 20 members in 2005 and today we have over 600 members in our community. We have gained support and appreciation from various government bodies locally and in India. It’s a very proud moment for us to see the positive transformation in this group for over a decade,” said Mr. Rashmikant Donda, President of Sarjan Group.
Sarjan Charity Foundation is one of Sarjan Group’s initiation and it plays a vital role in this event. Invitees will be participating in an auction for Charity during the event and the amount will be donated to Jaipur Foots (Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti), an organization established in 1975 in Jaipur, India that helps the disabled to regain their mobility by fitting a prosthetics and artificial limbs, calipers and other kind of physical aids and appliances.
