Producer Ramesh Taurani hopes that team of ‘Sonchiriya’ will not disappoint the audience after its release.

Ramesh Taurani was interacting with the media at special screening of ‘Sonchiriya’ on Wednesday in Mumbai.

‘Sonchiriya’ is a dacoit-drama film set in Chambal, talking about the film, Taurani said, “I think it will be a really good film. Sushant Singh Rajput is really a good actor and Abhishek Choubey always makes really good films. I also feel that Manoj Bajpayee and Bhumi Pednekar are really good actors so, I hope this time also, they will not disappoint the audience.”

Trailer of ‘Sonchiriya’ received criticism on social media showing situation of Chambal in negative light, talking about it, Taurani said, “I don’t think there is anything objectionable in the trailer. Makers of the film have cut the trailer of the film according to film’s genre so, I don’t think there should be any problem regarding it. I think this
film should do well.”

In the last 48 hours, India and Pakistan both struck targets in each other’s territory but were quick to assert that they were “non-military” targets, reacting on war like situation between India and Pakistan, Taurani said, “I think our government and security agencies are responding really well to the situation. We are all in support of government and our Prime Minister so, whatever decision they will take, it will be beneficial for the country.”

In the wake of the terror attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) announced a total ban on Pakistani actors and artists working in Indian film industry.

Reacting to AICWA’s decision, Taurani said, “I think now, Bollywood will never work with any Pakistani actor or artist. It’s really good stand and we all support that decision.”

Talking about his upcoming projects, Taurani said, “I am working on 203 films and very soon, I will make announcement of those films.”

Directed by Abhishek Choubey and produced by Ronnie Screwvala ‘Sonchiriya’ is releasing on 1st March, 2019.
