Filmmaker Ayan Mukherji attended Jio MAMI film mela along with Kabir Khan and Anurag Kashyap on Saturday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Ayan stated that his upcoming superhero film with Ranbir Kapoor has been a difficult film to put together.
Ayan Mukherji has worked with his buddy Ranbir Kapoor in super hit film like ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and now they both are teaming up together for the third to make a superhero film which will also feature Alia Bhatt, talking about progress of that movie, Ayan said, “We are still in pre-production. It has taken us some time to get to the point where we can begin shooting because it’s been a difficult film to put together. I think by January-February, we are hoping to begin shooting of the film.”
When asked Ayan, tentatively titled ‘Dragon’ will be the official title of the film, to that, Ayan said, “There is another title in mind. I don’t think I can say this out here today and also we are not 100% sure yet but very soon hopefully we will make an announcement”
Talking about MAMI film Mela, Ayan said, “While growing up, lot of education for cinema has actually come from attending MAMI. I am really excited about MAMI and ever since Anupama Chopra and her team has taken over, the festival has become so good. I know some of the films which are playing this year so I am really excited about it. I am always here to support it and watch the films”
Filmmaker Kabir Khan added, “It’s always nice to see films When you interact with people and watch movie with the audience then it’s always fun. MAMI is like a festival especially when it organized in city like Mumbai.”
Ayan Mukherji directed untitled film will be produced by Karan Johar.
