John’s voice seems to be much in demand like his drop-dead looks. The killer looks and a good voice combo pack John Abraham was the final choice for lending his voice for Alibaba. The film has been animated in quite a number of languages. John will provide his voice of the much awaited film as Alibaba. Alibaba and the 40 Thieves has been directed by Soumitra Ranade. Ranade also directed the children’s flick Jajantaram Mamantram fame, based on Gulliver’s Travel, with Javed Jaffery playing the lead role.
Soumitra Ranade is pretty excited about this release. Te other actors who would be providing their voices for the other important characters are Saurabh Shukla, Raza Murad and Mukesh Tiwary. The story which starts with a contemporary setting transforms into the Arabian Night’s tale. It is about a boy named Chinku living in Mumbai trans-migrates into the epic with some magic. The music of the film has been given by a band called Three Brothers & a Violin. While Jism, John’s debut film didn’t have his voice but was dubbed by somebody else. But now that Johny boy’s voice is making all that wave let’s see how it works in Alibaba and the 40 Thieves. The film is expected to release in 2009.
