Music maestro AR Rahman and Director Imtiaz Ali were treated to some sumptuous Kashmiri cuisine during their recent visit to the region while working on their upcoming film ‘Rockstar’ produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision.
Since parts of the film have been shot in Kashmir, the duo visited the valley for some special sound work. Incidentally, one of the line producers from Kashmir is a distant relative of Imtiaz Ali and invited the director, along with Rahman to his place.
There, they were treated to some authentic Kashmiri delicacies like ‘Vaazwan’ cooked by the lady of the house. Obviously, they had a great time gorging on the traditional, home cooked Kashmiri dishes and couldn’t thank the lady enough for her generous treat! What followed was a tradition of sorts where almost every day the delicious Kashmiri ‘Vaazwan’ was brought on the sets and the entire unit would relish on it.
In fact, on the last day of their schedule the team called for a huge feast with all the yummy delicacies and everyone present on the sets including Ranbir and Nargis enjoyed all the scrumptious authentic Kashmiri delicacies!
Rockstar is slated for release on 11th November 2011. The film’s theatrical trailer comes out on 31st August with Salman’s ‘Bodyguard’.
