Actress Kriti Sanon is gearing up for three releases this year— Farhad Samji’s Housefull 4, Rohit Jugraj’s Arjun Patiala and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat and now the news has been confirmed that she will be collaborating with Raees famed director Rahul Dholakia for a thriller film.
The yet-untitled thriller will draw inspiration from real-life stories for a fictional set-up in Mumbai. The Sunir Kheterpal production will go on the floors in August.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the deeds on the film. He tweeted, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Kriti Sanon to to play the lead protagonist in #Raees director Rahul Dholakia’s new film [not titled yet]… Will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule from Aug 2019…Written by Bilal Siddiqi…Produced by Sunir Kheterpal…Rahul is co-producing also”
The film, which will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule, has been written by author-turned-screenwriter Bilal Siddiqi, while a top VFX studio from South Korea is being brought on board for the film which is heavy on visual effects.
Next Kriti Sanon will be seen in Arjun Patiala, which is an upcoming romantic cop spoof comedy film directed by Rohit Jugraj. The film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under T-Series and Maddock Films. It also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma.
The film is a character-driven comedy with Sanon playing a crime journalist and Dosanjh playing a quirky, small town cop. The film is scheduled to be released on 26 July 2019.
