After planning Chintuji‘s political career, Kulraj Randhawa is once again set to do comedy. She is doing a film ‘Mastang Mama‘ opposite young and charming actor Ruslaan Mumtaz who impregnated a teenager in Teree Sang– A kidult love story.
So what is Mastang Mama all about?
It’s a feel good film that revolves around mama-bhanja jodi.
Tell us about your character?
I am playing a cop in the film and I am after Ruslaan. While I am chasing him and he is running away from me, we happen to fall in love. I am very funny cop who thinks that she is very smart, but ends goofing up.
Did you do any song sequence in the film?
Yes! I have done a slow motion song. It’s actually a very funny dream sequence.
How different is the comedy in this film than your previous film?
Chintuji is a comedy created by the writer; it’s basically a sitcom. It is partly fictitious and partly real. Jokes in the film were comparatively mature. Mastang Mama is complete entertainer for all the generations. It is completely commercial and fictitious comedy.
How was it shooting with Ruslaan?
He had injured his knee and was unable to do the physical activities like chasing. At times, I use to run ahead of him. But it was fun!
What next?
After doing so much of comedy I am soon to do a serious film that is based in Delhi.
