Alankria Shrivastava director of ‘Lipstick under my Burkha’ took to twitter to announce another successful event for the film.
She tweeted, “#lipstickundermyburkha ? is coming to the US!????????????”
The film will now release Across the United States of America on September 15th. The film will also be screened before the date on September 8th in certain predetermined cities.
Producer Prakash Jha also took to social to express his excitement, “#lipstickundermyburkha begins it’s Overseas Journey! Happy to partner Star synergy entertainment for it’s USA release on September 8!”
Lipstick Under My Burkha is a black comedy written and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. The film cast included Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur in lead roles. Its story is of four different women, living in different circumstances through a women’s point of view.
The film was released initially on 21st July and will now begin its overseas journey.
