Now Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat team up once again in the funny flick “Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam”, which releases Friday. The film is about how a small theatre group saves the country. While Paresh Rawal plays the lead actor of the theatre group, Mallika Sherawat is the lead actress. And Rahul will be seen as a RAW officer.

The story is inspired by CBI and RAW officers who were on high alert due to illegal activities like RDX and arms landing in the coastal area following the Babri Masjid demolition in December 1992, which had triggered communal riots.

The story goes like this:

Arjun (Rahul Bose), a secret agent is sent to St. Louise to intercept RDX. In his free time, Arjun watches plays made by Kalakar Theatre Company. Shabnam (Mallika) is the lead actress of the theatre group and Arjun falls in love with her.

However, Shabnam has other dreams. She wants to make it big in Bollywood and is waiting for a young lover in her boring married life. She plays Anarkali in the play “Mission Mughall-E-Azam” and possesses the quality to seduce the entire nation. And this quality of hers comes handy in the end.

Shabnam’s possessive husband Uday Shankar (Paresh Rawal) is obsessed with his acting. However, he doesn’t act, he overacts. He plays Akbar like Othello, and Othello like Hanuman! In the end, he risks his life to perform a challenging role!

The film will take the audience on a roller-coaster ride that begins when the entire drama company designs a game plan to get into the act to save the entire city from the blasts.

Kay Kay Menon too plays an important part in the film. If director Chhel has put the right ratio of romance, comedy and thrill, the film will entertain the audience. Especially when it has Rahul and Mallika, who shared great chemistry in “Pyaar Ke Side Effects”.
