The Eros Now is out with a new web-series titled Smoke, which is a crime drama, set in the underbelly of Goa. It is the only Indian web series to be showcased at the Cannes this year. The series is directed by Neel Guha.
The official handle of Eros Now dropped the teaser on social media. They captioned it, “Drugs, deceit, power and greed! #Smoke explores the dark underbelly of Goa you breathe but never see. Smoke has been directed by Neel Guha, whose credits include television shows Gumrah: End of Innocence (2015) and Shaitaan (2012). The teaser is out exclusively on Eros Now digital portal.
The series stars an array of actors, which includes names like Kalki Koechlin, Mandira Bedi, Jim Sarbh, Amit Sial, Gulshan Devaiah, Satyadeep Mishra, Neal Bhoopalam, Prakash Belawadi and the late Tom Alter.
The soundtrack for the series has been composed by well-known musician Karsh Kale, who has redefined the Asian Underground genre of music.
Smoke will be premiered at MIPCOM, an entertainment content market, at Cannes on October 15 and will be released on Eros Now on October 26.
