Olympics Medalist, Indian boxer Vijender Singh Beniwal gets all set to tie the knot today. Vijender Singh has participated in the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics and the 2006 Commonwealth Games. At the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. He shot to fame when he took part at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal – the first ever Olympic medal for an Indian boxer. He is also the winner of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award – India’s highest sporting honor. In January 2010, Vijender was awarded the Padma Shri award, for outstanding contribution to Indian sports.

On the occasion of the WORLD PREMIER for “Slumdog Millionaire” in Mumbai, Manav Gangwani had the pleasure of designing a very special sari for the exquisite, Frieda Pinto. For Manav, it was exceptionally rewarding, to be a part of the celebrations and tremendous pride that Slumdog Millionaire has bought to India.
The very latest to be added to his design repertoire, is styling the lead actors for a new Bollywood movie “1-800-LOVE” the song sequence for which has already been shot in London.

Having established his Women’s Couture label “MANAV GANGWANI COUTURE”, he diversified his talents, launching a Men’s collection under the label “MG MEN by MANAV GANGWANI”. This collection is retailed from various outlets like “AZA MEN” & “KIMAYA” in Mumbai. Manav also created Haute Couture Sherwanis & Jackets for special clients.
Amongst his many and varied achievements Manav Gangwani styled the décor for LOUIS VUITTON event in Oct’2007. His designs were also displayed along with Louis Vuitton products. Furthermore he designed and conceptualized an evening for the launch of BARCLAYS PREMIERE in Feb’2008 for the international brand BARCLAYS BANK. Manav Gangwani’s approach to excellence, style, emotions & inspiration has brought in a new spirit to the world of Indian fashion.
