Masumeh Makhija a face which shone with Chupke Se and made her presence felt with Maqbool Dus Kahaniyaan and Woh Lamhe, even if she shared screen space with some brilliant actors like veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, Irrfan Khan and Tabu, Shiney Ahuja and Kangna Ranawat. Masumeh is gearing herself up for her two next projects Saas Bahu Aur Sensex and Alibaug and ahs two more films following it.
Masumeh Makhija informs that her name means innocence. She talks about her upcoming film Saas Bahu Aur Sensex to be a contemporary comedy which has lots of saas bahu with the backdrop of Sensex. Her next film Alibaug is about friends and she plays an alcoholic who just comes out of rehab in the film. Unlike other Sanjay Gupta films, Alibaug will not have any action sequence.
Masumeh wants to do some good films rather than doing saas bahu drama. Talking about her experience on the sets, she states that Farooq Sheikh Kirron Kher and Lilette Dubey play pranks on the set and would talk about funny things. She hopes that her Saas Bahu Sensex is a hit because her sister Shona Urvashi will be directing it. She has left life on the edge and likes to do things which she wants to do. She loves to wear what she feels comfortable in. Msumeh also hopes to work in an out and out romantic film like Diwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and work in film with Aamir Khan.
Not only acting, Masumeh is passionate about the art of filmmaking. She like action films a lot. Her film Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav had failed to make any impression and the sultry actress thinks it was one of her mistakes to take up the film. For her the screaming casting couch is only for those who want it. Masumeh states that her face is very expressive. She is working for her blog as well and hopes that it is ready soon. In the newcomers she likes Sonam Kapoor and Imraan Khan.
