Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani directorial Batla House starring actor John Abraham, finally starts shooting.
Nikkhil took to his social media profile and shared the news of the beginning of shoot with a picture of the cast of the film.

Actor John Abraham will be seen essaying the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav who spearheaded the infamous 2008 Batla House Encounter case. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav has been rewarded with nine Gallantry Awards.
John is collaborating with Nikkhil in this movie after a decade long gap. The duo earlier collaborated for multi starrer ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, which also featured Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan.
Batla House is inspired by a real encounter that took place on September 9 almost a decade ago. Interestingly, makers of the film have finalised film’s female lead as they have now roped in Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur.
After the massive success of Satyameva Jayate, the team – Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and John Abraham come back together for a thriller drama ‘Batla House’. The film is produced by T-Series, Emmay Entertainment & JA Entertainment in association with Bake My Cake Films, the film will release on 15th August 2019. The film is written by Ritesh Shah.
