Also starring Neha Dhupia and Sagarika Ghatge,the film revived by Percept Picture Company and creative director Priyanka Desai sees Hashmi play the charismatic and investigative journalist Sam who plunges into a vortex of violence in a deadly engineered game of cat and mouse .

Talking about the film says Emraan Hashmi “I was blown away by Shamin’s script.Its a film I’m very excited about and something I’ve never done before. I found a journalist’s life tough. I play an investigative crime journo in a news channel”.

Confirms producer Shailendra Singh ,Percept “Emraan has gone out of his way to accommodate the film, purely out of sentimental reasons. We all wanted Shamin Desai’s dream to come true. Emraan was really shy about accepting the trophy. He felt he was not worthy of it. But we disagree.”
