Press Conference of the film Bad Luck Govind

Varun has made many a Hollywood films and for the first time felt the urgent need to make a film on his country soil. On 17th December, 2008, Country Club, Andheri, witnessed the press launch of his film, Bad Luck Govind starring Gaurav Kapur and Hrishita Bhatt in the lead. Others involved in the movie are Parmeet Sethi, his wife Archana Puran Singh, Vrajesh Hirjee, Zakir Hussain and many others.

Varun Khanna in his speech expressed his desire to work and do something for his country. He is proud that he made such a film and extended his gratefulness towards other actors who acted in his film, especially Parmeet Sethi and Archana Puran Singh who are very close and dear friends of Varun.

She made it clear to the press that Varun sleeps, eat, drinks on films and only films.

Towards the end of the event, Gaurav Kapur made a hilarious entry, by telling us about a series of events that turned out to be bad events for him, hereby providing a base to his film, named Bad Luck Govind.

Gaurav on the other hand could not stop himself from pulling Varun’s leg. The event ended by a small yet funny speech by Gaurav. Gaurav has done many small yet interesting roles but is debuting as the main lead in Bad Luck Govind.

As the name suggests Bad Luck Govind speaks about the super bad luck of this lad Govind and how he (who is already unfortunate), turns out to be a big time bad luck for others also.

The music of the film is done by Abu Malik and the songs are sung by renowned singers like Mika, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Kunal Ganjawala.

The movie is slated to release in January 2009.
