Ashutosh Gowariker’s and PVR Pictures. ‘KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY’ goes on floors with a mahurat in Goa . Mumbai, 10th November 2009: Ashutosh Gowariker’s and PVR Pictures ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ went on floors yesterday with a mahurat that was held on set in Goa with the lead actor Abhishek Bachchan along with producers Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev Bijli and Sunita Gowariker. To grace the occasion was present Her Highness of Sawant Wadi who switched on the camera while the clap was given by Ajay Bijli.
On this occasion Ms.Sunita Gowariker , Producer, AGPPL commented “‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ is a film for which Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and PVR Pictures have come together for the first time with their ‘Jee’ and ‘Jaan’…..We are excited to collaborate with them as our partners / co-producers for this film. ‘KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY’ is a period thriller and is based on the book DO AND DIE by Manini Chatterjee, based on the Chittagong Uprising of 1930.The film is be shoot in Goa and is looking at a release in the 4th quarter of 2010.The lead actor Deepika Padukone will join the unit soon.
The film is presented by AGPPL and PVR Pictures and will be jointly produced by Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev Bijli and Sunita Gowariker. Other credits include lyrics by Javed Akhtar, costume designs by Neeta Lulla, Art direction by Nitin Desai and director of photography by Kiiran Deohans.
