We are left with just one day to see the ‘naagin’ avatar of Mallika Sherawat in her latest release Hisss. It will be a very familiar story for the Indian audience, who are used to watch the movies on ‘ichchadhari naagin’ with Sri Devi and Reena Roy as the snake woman. This time, the plot will just involve an American man.
The story is set in the spice forests of Malabar Coast. The inhabitants of Indus Valley sculpted some image about 4000 years back, which looked like half cobras and half human creatures. A legend regarding the snake goddess and her mate is very popular in this region. There is a belief that women of this region can remain fertile only if they have respect and worship the snake goddess here.
An American man enters this forbidden forest in 2008 with evil intentions. He comes packed with hi-tech gadgets and becomes able to capture a large python sized cobra. He chose a wrong time to capture it because the snake was at his weakest then as he was mating. He could not realize the danger and brings the mysterious creature at his testing lab.
Following this, the revenge of the female counterpart of the cobra starts. Mallika, as the sexy female cobra starts her journey towards destructing the human civilization for taking revenge. The film has already created lots of hype by Mallika promoting the film through various Indian reality shows and television serials. Apart from Mallika, the film will also star two other Indian actors, Divya Dutta and Irrfan Khan.
So, will sexy babe Mallika be able to recreate the eighties charm of Sri Devi in 2010? Well, the fate of the film will be decided by the audience tomorrow when it hits the theaters.
