Mumbai, March 6, 2010: Rahul Mahajan ended weeks of speculation and silenced the non-believers on Saturday when he chose Kolkata based Dimpy Ganguly to be his bride on Imagine’s Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega. Immediately thereafter, Rahul reiterated his promise of ‘Swayamvar nahi Shaadi’ by taking the Saat Pheras with his bride in the presence of their family and friends at a grand ceremony hosted by Imagine at Hotel Leela Kempinski in Mumbai on March 6, 2010.
Doli, Baraat and Band Bajaa… this was a wedding that dreams are made up of! In the presence of hundreds of guests which included his immediate family and close friends and well-wishers, Rahul presented a beautiful heart shaped solitaire ring to Dimpy before solemnizing their love and taking their wedding vows. The guest list included the who’s who of the television industry and Rahul’s close friends. Dimpy looked stunning in her wedding ensemble created by none other than the fashion industry’s ace designer Neeta Lulla.
The overjoyed Dulha Rahul said, “I am very happy today. I have found the perfect woman to spend the rest of my life with and together we took our first step in this new phase of our lives in the presence of the people we love and respect the most. I am also delighted that I was able to share this special moment with the audience from across the country who have been supportive of me during the entire show.
