The director and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is a cool person most of the time. He has remained calm when he was criticized for his flop films and he remains on the ground for the success he received for Sarkar Raj. He saw failures like Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, Darling, Shiva, Nishabd and Darna Zaroori Hai which was condemned by media and film fraternity. But this didn’t stop him from making the sequel to Sarkar, titled Sarkar Raj.
He is still getting second hand treatment because he had not been successful for quite some time now. This fact however fails to kills Ramu’s spirit. He considers a mere attribute of the film industry for such behavior. He considers it a professional trait to be with the shadowing the success of a film due to other flop films. He uses a dialogue from his film Company ‘Tumhaare Dhandhe Ki Jaat Hi Aisi Hi’
He blames the nature of filmmakers that they get frustrated to find a hit film out of something which they didn’t expect. Even he finds himself a part of the gang who dig at the other’s works. He further adds that some people are unable to take the fact that his film Sarkar Raj is successful. Sarkar Raj collected 25 crores in the first week. This amount is close to a combined collection of his last successful film Sarkar.
Ramu however isn’t perturbed at this fact. He says, he thinks the trade analysts are more worried about this fact that he himself or his producers. He considers his film a success even if the debate on the film’s collection is the hottest thing on the internet and blogs. He says, he invested 25 crores fort he film and now with all the collections including, the overseas and DVD sales, the film is bound to be known as a hit.
Ramu never tried to say that he has been always making ht films and he never tired to make people call hi flops as hits so why the hypocrisy to not call Sarkar Raj a hit. Atleast, he calls it a financial successful.
