Dancing Queen Rosa Catalano – who has had three releases in quick succession this year – played Santa Claus to about 60 children at the Laughter Club at Bandra in Mumbai last week. According to Rosa, the event was organised for children and their sightless parents (Blind).
“I played Santa Claus complete with costume, gifts and of course not to forget the ha ha ho ho ho.” There were about 60 children and ‘Santa Rosa’ distributed blankets, gifts, goodies and school stationary. She spent a good two hours with the kids and also interacted with the elders who were more than happy to have such a pretty Santa Claus. There were games and other interaction activity for the grown-ups and lots of good ice cream which was courtsey the Gourmet Italian Food Company Pvt. Ltd.
Rosa was impressed with the talented kids, though they were handicapped to some extent. She really hopes the kids get a good education and fulfil their dreams whatever they may be. Speaking to the media after the event, Rosa said she was overwhelmed by their love and spontainety and wished to see all of them again.
We look forward to seeing more such Bollywood Santa Claus’ this year. Rosa in fact has two more charity events before she rings in the New Year with her family.
