Sanjay Suri wants to pen down an autobiography at some point of time

Published on

Actor and producer Sanjay Suri attended novelist Pankaj Dubey’s book launch named ‘Love Curry’ on Friday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Sanjay said hopefully one day he will pen down an autobiography.

When asked Sanjay whether he wants to pen down his autobiography, he said, “I feel I need little more time for that. I haven’t worked that much to write an autobiography but I intend to do that kind of work to write a biography so hopefully, one day I will write an autobiography”

Talking about current scenario of digital platforms and short films, Suri said, “I have actually worked in Amazon India’s first web series’ Inside Edge’ which was directed by Karan Anshuman and I also work in ALT Balaji third or fourth web series named ‘Dev DD”. I feel we were making short film from the longest time but now it has gained wider audience because of various platforms and technology, space is also crowded but I think you get to see good work with that and attention span of audience is also getting shorter and I feel this new era has already come up and I feel because of that now audiences are not turning into theatres to watch a film as they earlier used to be. There are many reasons for that and we are trying to address that as well. Individual’s lifestyles has been changing and ticket prices are also continuously increasing. Earlier we used to watch three films in a week now we are watching one film in a month so overall environment is very different when it comes to cinema”

Talking about Pankaj Dubey new book ‘Love Curry’ Sanjay Suri, said, “I feel Pankaj’s writing is very visual. If you can visualize something while reading a book then personally I like to read that kind of stuff. The book has interesting setting where an Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani citizen lives together in United Kingdom and it happens usually. It will be interesting for the readers to know how Pankaj has placed his three characters in his story. The name of the book is ‘Love Curry’ so the curry becomes the melting pot for Asians especially Indians, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis in UK or even New York or something so I feel his writing very visual and entertaining. There is humor and subtext which I think trying to say a few things which will you discover after reading the book”

Sanjay Suri’s upcoming film ‘My Birthday Song’ deals with a series of twisted events blurring the fine line between past, present and future — between what is real and what may not be.

It is produced by Sanjay Suri and Samir Soni and directed by Samir Soni. Apart from Sanjay, the movie features Nora Fatehi and Miss India-Australia Zenia Starr in lead roles.

It is releasing 19 January, 2018.
