Superstar Shah Rukh Khan attended promotional event of his upcoming produced film ‘Ittefaq‘ along with Karan Johar, Akshaye Khanna, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Abhay Chopra on Monday in Mumbai. On the promotional event of ‘Ittefaq’ Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar seen pulling leg of Akshaye Khanna on being reserved and low profile.
Akshaye Khanna who is one of the few actor from Hindi film industry who is known for keeping extremely low profile and reserved over the years no one till date has talked about his uncanny habit on a public platform the way Shah Rukh and Karan spoke on promotional event of ‘Ittefaq’, Karan said, ” Akshaye is one my favorite actor but we see very little of him. Earlier, I approached Akshaye for my film ‘Kurbaan’ but he rejected it so when me and Abhay decided to approach Akshaye for cop’s role in ‘Ittefaq’, I already told Abhay that listen, this dude is really weird. he may say yes or he may so no. I have no way of gauging him from his tone about what he is going to say because he has really scary tone, In fact, he has no tone at all and that’s really scary because you don’t understand whether he likes someone or doesn’t like someone”
Karan pointing towards Akshaye asked, “Why are you like this”? we all know and Shah Rukh has also this that this man is a great actor. We all love him but we see very little of him. From Monday to Friday, we see him in Mumbai but on Saturday and Sunday, he always be in Alibag (Farmhouse). if he is winning Academy (Oscars) award of Saturday then also he will not come because he is in Alibag”
“On Sunday night we hosted screening of ‘Ittefaq’ and everyone was praising him but he said it’s too far for me to come at Yashraj Studios and I can’t come because I will be asleep by then so I was like we are here in zone of vanity, I will go anywhere to see something that I created that’s the reason I fail to understand him”
Shah Rukh added, “He is reticent and quite that’s why he comes across as strange. I have had few interactions with him. He is always little off beat and he has got different beat that he dances to and personally, I find it very interesting”
“I like this not being able to fathom what kind of person he is and in his enactment also. This is too patronizing for me to be saying but I don’t mean patronizing. I genuinely mean it as an audience, from the time ‘Himalay Putra’ (1997) onwards whenever I have seen him as an actor which is seldom or too less like Karan said or maybe that is what beautiful about him. he comes once in a while but when he comes onscreen he really create something unfathomable as an actor. I really appreciate his acting and this is honest truth but having saying that I also want to ask him why the hell he is like that?”
‘Ittefaq’ is adaptation of Rajesh Khanna and Nanda starrer crime suspense thriller ‘Ittefaq’ (1969).
‘Ittefaq’ is directed by Abhay Chopra and jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and BR Films. It is slated to release on 3th November, 2017.
