Shahrukh Khan attended the prayer meet of deceased filmmaker Kundan Shah and paid an ode of respect to the legend, hailed his passing away as one of the great losses in his life.

SRK became emotional during his address at the prayer meeting. He said, “If we have been in touch with Kundan, we know what a wonderful gentleman he was. How much he loved all of us, maybe his expressing of love was different from what people behave. For me, I don’t know how to express this. It is one of the greatest losses of my life.”

Filmmaker Kundan Shah passed away at the age of 69 on October 6, 2017. A prayer meet was held in the city by his family, which was attended by entire Bollywood fraternity including SRK.

Shah Rukh Khan, who had worked with Kundan Shah in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, further added, “I was 25 when I came to Mumbai. I have stayed in Kundan’s house, have been fed by his family. I have been looked after by them. I remember when I was leaving Delhi, the first thing my theatre friends told me was, “When you meet Kundan Shah, touch his feet and give him a hug from all of us.” That’s how much we loved his work.”

SRK concluded by saying, “I was very fortunate that I got a chance to work with him. I am who I am, not just because I learned from him, but because I got so much love from him.”

On the work front, Shahrukh Khan is currently shooting for Aanand L Rai’s next film, which is yet to be titled.
The untitled film is written by Himanshu Sharma and directed by Anand L Rai. It features Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles.
