Sharvari recently shared her admiration for one of Bollywood’s classic films, Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. The film, which also starred Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan, was released in 2003 and has since gained a significant place in Sharvari’s heart.
Sharvari expressed her fondness for the Nikkhil Advani-directed blockbuster, recollecting her memories and experiences associated with the film. She said, “‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ holds a special place in my heart as an absolute favourite. I must have watched it well over 20 times by now. For those of us who grew up in the 90s, it’s more than just a film; it’s a cultural touchstone. No celebration or event felt complete without dancing to the infectious tunes of KHNH.”
Sharvari also shared her nostalgia for the film’s dance steps, saying, “In my formative years, I remember learning the iconic steps of KHNH songs, eager to showcase my skills at social gatherings. Even today, I continue to enjoy performing these dance steps.”
But it wasn’t just the music that left a lasting impression on Sharvari; she also found the film’s dialogues deeply impactful. She shared her favourite line, ‘Jiyo! Khush Raho! Muskurao.. Kya pata Kal ho na ho!’, saying, “This dialogue advocates self-love, self-care, and happiness. Its progressive and uplifting message was, I feel, far ahead of its time.”
In an intriguing turn of events, Sharvari now finds herself working with ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ director Nikkhil Advani on the film ‘Vedaa’, which also features John Abraham and Tamannaah Bhatia.
‘Vedaa’, helmed by Nikkhil Advani and penned by Aseem Arora, is a production by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment. The film will see John Abraham in a mentor’s role to Sharvari, with viewers eagerly anticipating the thrilling action sequences the movie promises.
