A girl from the beautiful mountains of Dehradun dreamt big and achieved it through an undying passion while fighting against all odds of the society thus achieving victory in life! In the midst of a divorce and separation from her only daughter, it is in food that the 29 year old Shipra Khanna found her strength to fight for her daughter’s legal custody. A surprise for her viewers and an overwhelming experience for her fellow contestants, Shipra came out tops as the winner of this thrilling season and triumphed over all rounds with grace, immense talent and her fiery ambition to win.

With cookery challenges thrown upon the contestants by the experts such as Jehangir Mehta, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Karen Anand the survivor had to be the best cook of the country! If that was not all, celebrity guest Akshay Kumar commemorated the finale where the finalists had to reinvent last year’s contestants’ signature dishes, using all the same ingredients. Shipra recreated a continental chicken preparation with a new Tandoori twist.

Winning her way up with precision, hard work, a fearless attitude and an unwavering ambition, Shipra said, “I am very excited to have the title, as the competition was cut-throat. Making a mark in every round was extremely challenging. It was at times shocking to see so many good cooks exit the competition those I used to look up to even; that’s when you get a sense of how intense this competition is,” says Shipra, who now wishes to donate a part of her wins to a charity and then spend the rest on culinary education to brush up on her skills.”
