Sidharth Malhotra confirms that there is a conflict with CBFC, Ministry of Defense and his upcoming spy thriller Aiyaary based on Indian Army Intelligence and producers are looking into the matter for a smooth release.
The Ministry Of Defense has asked for the preview of Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary before it goes to the Central Board Of film Certification (CBFC), since the movie is set against the army backdrop, the Defense Ministry wants to review the film.
Talking about the issue, Sidharth Malhotra said, “Our producers are looking into it; definitely the whole thing is in process. I have full faith that the producers who are handling the issue. The movie is releasing on 9th Feb, so there is no change in our lives”
The trailer of Aiyaary suggests that the film showcases corruption within the system, and thus it has been put under screening by the ministry. The makers of Aiyaary are worried about the situation in which the film fails to procure a certificate from the board and as per actor looking into the matter.
Padmaavat also faced the similar issues due to fringe group Karni Sena and now Aiyaary is also going down the same road. When asked about his thought on the matter, Sidharth said, “Every film has their own different reasons. The film you are talking about (padmaavat) we have seen all that has happened right before us. In ‘Aiyaary’ there is nothing as serious. I have spoken to our producers and the film will still release on 9th Feb, so we are hoping things go smoothly.”
When asked how the cast feels about the film’s release coming closer he said, “We are very excited finally the film is releasing on 9th Feb. I think ‘Aiyaary’ is my most relevant and real film. It is spy thriller based on military intelligence. The whole team is very excited for 9th Feb.”
Sidharth was last seen in Ittefaq, a Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Production, directed by Abhay Chopra costarring Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna.
His upcoming film, ‘Aiyaary’ directed by Neeraj Pandey is scheduled to release on 9th Feb.
