November 19, 2010 : Sooraj Barjatya, the man who has played an important role in taking Salman Khan to the peak of his successful career in Bollywood, plans to make yet another film with the actor. The director – actor duo were behind successful Bollywood ventures like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun, both films creating records at the box office. And though the director has not seen a hit in the recent past, not even with his lucky mascot Salman Khan for company (read Hum Saath Saath Hain), he is nevertheless keen on working with the actor again. So if all goes well, we may see the Sooraj Barjatya – Salman Khan jodi set the big screen ablaze in the near future.
Salman Khan has already shot a teeny-weeny part for Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film Isi Life Mein, which has newcomers in the lead roles. Who can ever forget the endearing roles, forever named Prem, which Salman Khan played for a Sooraj Barjatya movie. Yet, the director is not prepared to accept that the actor is his lucky charm!
Ask him where he had been for all these years and Sooraj Barjatya replies that he was taking time out to get his production company in place as well as to concentrate on his television productions. And though he would love to direct a project with Salman Khan at the helm, he has rounded up on a script yet, Sooraj Barjatya disappoints!
