Staying relevant with changing times is really important says Anu Malik

Music composer and singer Anu Malik attended Society Achievers Awards 2018 on Sunday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Malik stated that staying relevant with changing times is really important.

Talking about receiving an award at ‘Society Achievers Awards 2018’ Malik said, “I am very happy to be here especially for society achievers awards. I am getting an award here in the category of music. I think staying relevant with changing times is really important. In 2015, I came up with ‘Moh Moh Ke Ghage’ song (Dum Laga Ke Haisha) which won 3 National awards and now ‘Judwaa 2’ has become a super hit. I sang for Salman (Khan) 20 years back for ‘Judwaa” and now I sang for Varun Dhawan. These films music, songs and film itself have become a huge hit so they are honoring me for achieving the impossible and I like that so I am very honored to be here”

When Malik asked how does it feels to receive an award as he has been in film industry for almost 33 years now, he said, “No matter how many times you get award but it is always special. I think we work really hard and this very moment is really special moment for me because the kind of work I am doing to stay relevant with these youngster who are doing fabulous work whether it is in ‘Judwaa 2’ or ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ so I think it’s a great feeling. I think it is very important to get a clap on my back for doing all the hard work “

Anu Malik was the reigning king of melody in the 90s, and his songs from every genre found place in our playlists. Anu Malik has been at the extreme ends of both appreciation and allegations. And the most known one being that of plagiarism. After long hiatus he came back in the industry, delivering soulful music in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha” in 2015. In 2017, he composed songs for films like ‘Judwaa 2’ ‘Begum Jaan’ and Indu Sarkar.

Now, Anu Malik is entering the Marathi music industry. The ‘Oonchi Hai Building’ singer is composing music for an upcoming Marathi movie ‘Aassudh’.
