Sushant Singh Rajput – Padmavati Row, Out of Context

Sushant Singh Rajput was spotted at the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017. During his media interaction, the actor shed some light on Padmavati controversy, stated the problem is “Undefined Context”.

Fringe group Karni Sena has demanded Ban on Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmavati, which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, stating that the filmmaker has distorted the proud history of Rajputs.

Talking about the controversy, Sushant Singh Rajput said, “I think we are confusing the context, I mean there is a nation and what sort of place entertainment industry has if we clarify all this and people who are representing it, have a discussion together then I don’t think there is any problem. I think the problem is the context, which we are not defining”

“For a nation history is important, as it defines the nation, so that is also important. And Entertainment only entertains, which is also important. But in a nation like India, where exactly is the entertainment industry, if we specifically define that then I don’t think there will be any problem. We will be able to find a solution amicably”

Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Bhumi Pednekar and many more celebrities graced the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017.
Sushant Singh Rajput hailed the IFFI and said, hunger for new content and new things, brings him to film festival, which is really important.

“IFFI is important as there are very few such film festivals, which are going on for so many years. Festivals like these encourage everyone and for people like me, who are hungry for new content and learn new things, so we come here with lots of expectation and we receive a lot more than excepted” added SSR.
Sushant also expressed that language is not a restriction in storytelling; in fact, language is the last element.

“This is our outlook; we call it regional cinema, national cinema, and international cinema. I think a story is just a story and I think a lot of elements come together to say a story, language is the last element. Emotions are more important, what you are trying to say is more important, and if it is coming from the heart than I don’t think language is a restriction” added SSR.

After Raabta, the actor Sushant Singh Rajput is geared up with back to back releases in the coming year. The actor will be seen in movies like Drive, Kedarnath, Chanda Mama Door Ke and Sone Chidiya.
