On Thursday, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Athiya Shetty attended ‘The Goggle’ song launch from their upcoming movie Mubarakan in Mumbai. While speaking to media at event, Arjun Kapoor stressed that, the debate of nepotism is far too stretched and we should look beyond that and move forward.
Yesterday, Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin Aadar Jain launched by Yashraj Films in huge event and right after that social media once again exploded with debate of nepotism, while talking about nepotism, Arjun said, “This is something that is going on for too long. Our film industry is known for much better things and this is one debate we have been stretching like rubber. I feel, we should all move ahead of it. We make films for the audience and at the end of the day it’s completely audience call whether they want to see our movies or not. Anyone can come in this industry with family backups and all but cannot exist because of that. Person exists in this industry because of his capabilities and the kind of work he has done so media should also be responsible and move ahead focus on good and relevant things that this industry is known for and not just one element that gives one headline”
Year 2017 hasn’t been much successful for Bollywood in terms of box-office collection barring films like Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and Baahubali 2, so when asked reason behind the slump, Arjun said, “We shouldn’t compare films with last year’s box-office results. We should look at good things that are happening. Kaabil, Raees, Half Girlfriend also did good business and I feel hits and flops are part and parcel. The years has still 6 months left so hopefully at the end of the year , we will have more successful films. I feel because of box-office figure films value gets diminished. There are various films that have done well like Hindi Medium so I hope at the end of this year we will have more number of good films which will do good business”.
Talking about the film, Anil said, “Mubarakan is clean and nice family entertainer which will give you happiness and it will bring smile on people’s faces. I feel world need more films like Mubarakan which will make people laugh and spread happiness and today people are not interested in serious and intellectual things they want to have good time when they see the film and when I see people happy then it automatically makes me happy”.
Anil Kapoor danced madly at the song launch event and his funny antics was also evident at the media interaction. Arjun also spoke about changing behavior of Anil Kapoor while promoting the film, he said, “Nowdays I am seeing new colors of Anil chachu. While shooting of the film, he was very disciplined and dedicated but while promoting the film he has become different person altogether. I can see that he has enthusiasm like newcomer who is first time promoting film and interacting with media so this is the reason behind his youthfulness that he does things like he is doing it for the very first time”
Mubarakan is directed by Anees Bazmee . It is releasing on 28 July, 2107.
