Satyajit Dube was discovered by Roshan Abbas in a couple of ad films is the newest addition to the Red Chillies entertainment house. Making his debut with Red Chillies entertainment ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ says he is super excited about doing a lead in the film.
“I am not a trained actor, acting came to me as a passion”, says Satya, as he is fondly called by the cast and crew of the film. Coming from a theatre background where he has done not just acting but also backstage work, Satya says he developed a taste for dramatics which eventually led him to being a part of ad films for brands like Kit Kat, Pizza Hut, Reliance Big TV and HDFC and now finally to his debut film opposite Zoa Morani where he plays a lovable geek with a heart of Gold.
When talking about Roshan Abbas, he says,”Roshan Sir, was more of a teacher to me than a director, he taught me how to get comfortable in a given setting and always encouraged spontaneity”.
Finding a firm footing was not easy for this bloke, however he says he is very lucky to be working with an established brand such as Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. for his very first film. “God has rewarded me for my patience, and what a reward it is.” says an overwhelmed Satyajit, who thinks acting is his destiny.
