Actor Salman Khan topped the 2017 Forbes India Celebrity 100 list for the second consecutive year. Khan has unseated his actor-friend Shah Rukh Khan to become the top earning celebrity of 2016.
The list was released on the same day as his eagerly awaited ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which is expected to add to his Rs 232.83 crore. Despite his previous film ‘Tubelight’s’ dismal performance at the box office, the 51-year-old actor topped the list backed by his numerous endorsements. As per the report, his earning constitute 8.67 percent of the total Rs. 2683 crore of the top 100 celebrites of the year.
Following him at the second sport was King Khan with Rs 170.5 crore. Shah Rukh Khan, too, retained his position at number 2, and was followed by India’s cricket captain, newly-married, Virat Kohli at Number 3 with Rs 100.72 crore. Kohli’s beau, actress Anushka Sharma was at the 32nd spot with Rs 28.25 crore.
The cumulative earnings of the top three have declined by almost 20 per cent from Rs 626.52 crore last year to Rs 504.05 crore this year.

According to estimates of the day 1 collection of the film, the romance-action-drama has been able to mint around Rs 36 crore at the box-offce.
