Rani Mukherjee n Dil Bole Hadippa (2).jpgToronto went Hadippa over the Queen B of Bollywood- Rani Mukherjee when she attended the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the World Premiere of Yash Raj Films latest release on September 13th- Dil Bole Hadippa

The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee, is Produced by Aditya Chopra and Directed by Debutant Anurag Singh- Rani attended the festival along with Anurag, where the film had its first screening to an audience of almost 2000 people, who embraced the color, the energy and the spirit of the film.

In keeping with the film’s colorful and musical theme, Yash Raj Films ensured that that the film left its mark on the Red Carpet as 20 Bhangra Dancers did Hadippa to the tunes of the local Dholi’s of Toronto, while Rani and Anurag spent almost an hour meeting, signing autographs taking pictures with overjoyed fans.

Cameron Baily Co-Director of TIFF says,

“We are not looking for Indian cinema that mimics the European and North American films. We look for films that reflect an Indian sensibility in their filmmaking.”

Anurag Singh says

“It’s nothing short of a life changing experience to be invited to such a prestigious festival for your first film.”

Rani Mukherjee says

“Hadippa is a film to be enjoyed with your family while having your popcorn and cola, and dancing on the seats, all at the same time… it’s a film that reinforces the belief that if you have a dream and the desire… you will go to any length to achieve it.”
