Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are paired for the first time in forthcoming social drama, Sui Dhaaga, we all know that duo has learned the art of stitching for the movie but now the makers unveil that recently, Varun shot for 10 hours in the sweltering heat of Chanderi cycling with Anushka riding pillion.
Yash Raj Films official twitter handle confirmed the news on social media and shared a picture of the duo on cycle. The caption read, “Mauji takes Mamta for a cycle ride! @AnushkaSharma rode pillion as @Varun_dvn cycled for close to 10 hours in the sweltering heat at Chanderi. #SuiDhaaga @yrf”
The project is being helmed by Sharat Kataria and will see Varun play Mauji, a tailor and Anushka play Mamta, an embroider.
The duo is shooting for the movie in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. Actor Varun Dhawan spent 10 hours, in the sweltering heat of Chanderi, cycling with Anushka by his side riding pillion for the shoot of the movie. Towards the end of the day, both Varun and Anushka were left exhausted due to the heat.
Meanwhile, Varun recently injured his shoulder during the shoot of Sui Dhaaga. He shot for a scene where he was to tumble down a flight of stairs but he one of the steps gave way which led to his injury.
Looks like this one is going be a special movie as the duo is going the extra distance to make it look like an authentic and real portrayal of a heart-warming story of pride and self-reliance, rooted in the heart of India.
The film, directed by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Sharat Katariya and bankrolled by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films, will hit the theaters on September 28, a few days ahead of Gandhi Jayanti. The other cast of the film is yet to be announced.
