Prominent Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan took time out on Friday to send warm birthday greetings to Amar Kaushik, the director of his film ‘Bhediya’. Displaying his fondness for Amar, he took to Instagram, sharing a snapshot on his stories with a caption wishing his director a cheerful birthday, writing, “Happy birthday Captain @amarkaushik. Hope you’re having a blast and enjoying your day.”
The film ‘Bhediya’ marked the first instance of Varun and Amar working together. This horror-comedy, which also showcased the acting skills of Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee, garnered positive feedback from the audience.
In a surprising announcement back in April, Varun, also known for his stellar performance in ‘Badlapur’, revealed plans for a sequel to this well-received horror-comedy. This sequel is expected to grace theatre screens in 2025.
Varun recently took the audience by storm with his performance in Nitesh Tiwari’s romantic drama film ‘Bawaal’, where he shared the screen with Janhvi Kapoor. The film was premiered exclusively on the popular OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, and was met with a positive response from viewers.
Up next for Varun is the Indian adaptation of the celebrated Hollywood series ‘Citadel’, where he will be sharing the screen with the talented Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
On the other side, birthday boy Amar Kaushik is engrossed in his upcoming project, ‘Stree 2‘, a sequel to the blockbuster hit ‘Stree’ that was released in 2018. The film, set to release in August 2024, will star renowned actors like RajKummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. Interestingly, ‘Stree’ actors Rajkummar and Aparshakti also made a special cameo in Varun Dhawan’s ‘Bhediya’, bridging the cinematic universes.
