John Abraham is one such actor turned producer who constantly want to present good content driven cinema to the audience and it has reflected from his past produced movies like Vicky Donor and Madras Café. John is all set for producing another engaging story to the audience titled – Parmanu – The Story Of Pokharan. Recently, in an media interaction, John stated that His production house and his partner production company is very careful on selecting good scripts for their each film.
When asked him how did the subject came to him, to that, he said, “This subject had come to Prerna and Arjun (Of KriArj Entertainment). When they came to me with this subject I liked it and then we developed it in-house. We were very fortunate as the script finally shaped up really well. We are very careful in selecting only good script for our each film, because audience in today’s date looks for only good content. They don’t see stars, they don’t see proposals they only want good stories.”
Talking about Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran, John Said “I think it is an interesting film. Atal Ji was one of the greatest Prime Ministers we had, but this is film and it has to be entertaining. Neither we are political nor are we showing anything in the film which is overtly political. We have just tried to make an entertaining film. Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran is a very entertaining film but a true story which happened in India.”
Asked to comment on the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, John said, “He was a visionary, he had the great vision and if we can talk about India shining, it’s only because of him. He gave new slogan to India, ‘Jai Jawan and jai Vigyan’. We want to give credit to our army personals and scientists who are responsible for the super power that India is today.”
He added, “I want to show this film primarily to the audience but definitely our country’s politicians will also be excited after watching the film”.
Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran is based on the true story of nuclear tests conducted by Indian government in 1998 in Rajasthan’s Pokhran. John Abraham plays the lead role in the film. The film also features Diana Penty and Boman Irani in lead roles. It is being directed by Abhishek Sharma.
