Actor Ravi Kishan interacted with media in promotional press conference of his upcoming film ‘Mukkabaaz’ on Friday in Mumbai. During press conference, Ravi Kishan said that the team of ‘Mukkabaaz tried to show love story behind the backdrop of socio-political scenario of our country.

Talking about ‘Mukkabaaz’, Ravi Kishan said, “Mukkabaaz is an amazing love story which audience have seen rarely on celluloid in which female protagonist of the film is mute and male protagonist of the film is an aspiring boxer and behind that love story we have tried to show socio-political scenario of our country. This film has action, comedy, drama and emotional sequences and the most surprising thing about this film is that in this Anurag Kashyap film, there is no use of abusive language”

Talking about his character in ‘Mukkabaaz’, Ravi Kishan said, “I am playing character of Sanjay Kumar in this film who aspired to become a boxer but because of certain circumstances he couldn’t be able to pursue his dream of becoming a professional boxer so he sees all that anger and frustration in Shravan (Vineet Kumar Singh) so he decides to train Shravan to become a successful boxer. In this film we have shown how Indian athletes do their ‘desi’ training to prepare for their competition so audience will have lot of fun watching that in the film”
Ravi Kishan being huge personality in Uttar Pradesh, talking about his participation in Gorakhpur Mahotsav, he said, “I am going to Gorakhpur Mahotsav and I will be performing there and say my lines from song ‘Paintra’. It’s a big festival and entire Uttar Pradesh looks up to it”
When asked Ravi Kishan that whether he is following Bigg Boss season 11, he said, “I am following Bigg Boss. It is doing really well. Bigg Boss has given me so much after I participated in its first season and I think Shipla Shinde is playing really well in Bigg Boss and I am seeing winner of Bigg Boss in form of her. Earlier, I thought that she is a negative person after her television controversy but after 10-15 days of her big boss she emerged as a beautiful soul in the show and I feel that Bigg Boss does that with every contestant so now everyone in the country is admiring Shilpa Shinde. I wish and hope that she wins Bigg Boss”
Talking about nature of show Bigg Boss, Ravi Kishan said, “The show is such that it creates certain circumstances that each contestant goes through flow of that situation and reacts either positively or negatively. I was in Bigg Boss for 3 months and I also used to be really aggressive on that show. I was one of the finalist on that show but they change pattern of the elimination that whoever gets maximum votes will be first to go from the show so being popular among my north audience they gave me maximum votes thinking that I will win the show after getting maximum votes and that’s how I was first one to get eliminated from final round of Bigg Boss Finale”
Mukkabaaz is set in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly and inspired by a true story. Vineet Singh plays boxer Shravan Singh who has to take on a ruthless local boxing association member who is hell-bent on destroying his career. It’s the protagonist’s battle for victory over the forces of prejudice and corruption.
Mukkabbaz is directed by Anurag Kashyap and produce by Phantom Films and Anand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions.
It stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Ravi Kishan and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles.
‘Mukkabaaz’ is releasing on 12th January, 2018.
