We must protect our ecology in order to protect our healthy economy says, Dia Mirza

Mumbai, 22nd Aug 2017 (News Helpline)

Dia Mira who was present at the screening of Carbon on Monday she said, we must protect our ecology in order to protect our healthy economy.

Dia was asked if she thinks development and environment can work and progress together she said, “Absolutely, as a conservationist as a person who is so connected with environmental causes, all we are trying to say is ecology and economy can go hand in hand. People assume we are anti-progress, we are not. Progress, in reality, is only possible when we will move forward with Ecology and economy together. We must protect our ecology in order to protect our healthy economy.”

The environment enthusiast actress also spoke about the film Carbon and the maker’s efforts. “I have seen the film and Carbon I think is an amazing attempt, not just to tell a story but to make people think about certain things that we take for granted. We don’t think about nature, especially about the free facilities that we get from nature. What carbon does is gives you a context of a futuristic story where you find out what happens to humans when one of those free commodities become scarce.”

She further added,“ I think it is a very Nobel thought and I am very happy and excited and proud of Jacky, Deepshikha and Gautum Gupta who have produced this film together. I really hope that more film like Carbon will be made in India. Short or long in all form such films should be made because people know very little about the environment.”
