Filmmaker Karan Johar attended fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s X Chandon Limited Edition End of Year 2017 Bottles at Monday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Johar stated that as a producer we want to protect content of ‘Ittfaq’.
Siddharth Malhotra, Sonkashi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna starrer thriller ‘Ittefaq’ trailer recently released at online platforms but like other films, makers of ‘Ittefaq’ didn’t formally organized trailer launch of the film and they have been constantly avoiding media to divulge any details of the film, talking about that producer of the film, Johar said, “We want to protect intrigue, mystery and thrilling point of the film. When actors go out for film promotion that time in a media interview, they reveal facts and details of the plot so BR Films, Shah Rukh Khan and me mutually decided to protect content of the film so with this film we are not going to do any promotion, we will not go to any reality show to promote the film and we will not have media interview and media presence either.”
“We have already released the trailer of the film and tomorrow we are shooting remix version of ‘Raat Baki’ from ‘Namak Halal’ which goes with theme of our film. We are presenting ‘Raat Baki’ with new impact. This song will be shot on Sidharth, Sonakshi and Akshaye and we are going to make interesting music video for the film so we are only coming up with a theatrical unit and ‘Raat Baki’ song after that we will release our film”
“We respect media but it’s our new strategy that we want to protect content of the film because with this film I feel less is more”
Talking about Manish Malhotra’s new venture, Johar said, “Manish does 20 fashion shows each year and other 40 events but this is very special association of his, so I am here to support him. He is really close friend of mine. Whatever he does, he does with class, style and flamboyance so it was necessary for me to present at this event. He is showcasing his new avatar with his new venture”
Talking about his Diwali plans, Johar said, “I am not organizing any Diwali Party at my home but if anyone from the industry invites me, I will surely attend their parties”
Talking about less use of fire-crackers at Diwali , Johar said, “I have two kids and pets at my home, Normally pets gets scared with fire-crackers so I feel for the wellness of all animals, I hope we can limit usage of fire-crackers”
‘Ittefaq’ is an adaptation of the 1969 film by the same name, directed by Yash Chopra which starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda in lead roles.
It directed by Abhay Chopra and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions.
‘Ittefaq’ is releasing on 3rd November, 2017.
